32 Weeks
Well this week hasn't been such a good week, as you know we finished the nursery and Paul spent the weekend varnishing the skirting and door in the lounge. The decorator is due in a couple of weeks so we need to get the room ready for him. We've had quite a few visitors over the weekend so we didn't get too much done, Paul said he felt pretty rough and headachy, I think it was the smell of the varnish as we couldn't open the door too much because of the poor weather. I spent what time we did have at the weekend sorting out Katie's new bedroom so fortunately for me I couldn't really smell the varnish. Paul was bad over the next few days with headaches and feeling rough and then Katie came home from school on Monday and she had a pretty high temperature and complained of headaches. She didn't go to school on Tuesday, but had to spend the day at her nana's because I couldn't take the time off work. So I spent most of the week sorting out Katie and Paul and neither of them slept really well, which obviously impacted on me. I've really started to feel the strain this week, I think a lot of it has been because of the poor sleep with both Paul and Katie and my temper has been pretty short this week, and its really weird because no matter how much you are aware of it, you can't help but lose it now and then. I'm starting to feel the strain with driving as well, my bump is obviously resting on my legs which is really uncomfortable.
I have a relaxation cd which has been helping slightly but I am that tired and stressed, nothing seems to be helping. Paul and I fell out over something really small that was just blown out of all proportion so I decided to go to bed and lie down and listen to my cd. This really helped and I ended up having a really good nights sleep. So I got one good nights sleep this week. I borrowed two pillows from my mum this week, to try and help prop me up when I am sleeping because I just feel as though I'm lying really low, even though I already have three pillows and to be honest it really hasn't helped. I'm due for my scan and clinic appointment next week which I am really looking forward to and it will be the first appointment we have been to without Katie as she is at school. We have also got an appointment on Monday evening to go to the Birth Workshop. Paul wasn't to keen on going as he felt we didn't need it as we had been to it when we were pregnant with Katie, but I felt so much had changed over the last 4 years, I thought it might be a good idea to go. We've decided to go and get the pushchair at the weekend, so on Sunday we went to Storktalk only to find it closed, I couldn't believe it so we are definately going to get it next weekend. I've also informed work that I will be taking what anuual leave I have left on 20 October and then my maternity leave will commence on 15 November, so I've got 3 weeks to go. Paul wants me to finish asap but I don't want to leave work in the lurch as my replacement can't start with us till the end of November. So roll on Monday when I can see my little cherubs on the screen again. Take care Anita In the Womb - view at 25 weeks
