The University of Kent has started a 'Child Development Unit' and are looking at how children learn about their world, about other people and about the language they hear around them. We need 1000s of parents, with children aged between 12 months and 10 years to come in for a child-friendly half-hour session. Baby and Me Massage Classes are designed to show parents how to safely massage their baby with confidence. The course has been designed by The British School of Yoga.

This course is taught over 5 classes to enable the parent to have time to learn each part of the massage sequence.

Each class begins with new set of massage strokes on a different part of the body. Handouts are provided each week and the class finishes with a discussion on various topics that are relevant to Baby Massage. Each class is fun and interactive, nursery rhymes are sung and conversation flows during light refreshments!

A relaxed environment is created and each mum is encouraged to feel comfortable during the class, if baby needs to take a break to feed, sleep or just to rest from the touch and stimulation the parent can just simply watch the class or retire to a quiet area with their baby. Every lesson will start with a quick re-cap on the techniques shown in the previous class, therefore no one will miss out on any of the routines.

At the end of the course every parent will feel confident in the techniques shown to enable them to carry out massage on their baby in their own home. Friends are made at the classes as the discussion session allows parents to talk freely to others in the same situation as themselves.

Classes are held in Maidstone and Ashford. Spaces are limited so it is essential to book.
