THE OFFERNo one can refuse a stunning image of their most treasured possession, their baby, especially if they can have a photographic session and a superb acrylic print valued at a combined £200 for free. But once they see the most fantastic images manipulated with digital technology, they just cannot resist buying more. The range of products varies from small print selections up to stunning canvas collages prints of 30 inches by 24 inches. Check out our website at www.barrettandcoeportraits.co.uk for examples of the range of products on offer. THE PROCESSBarrett & Coe have joined forces with experts in the field of marketing to mums-to-be and mums to create high quality marketing literature, leads for potential customers and a superb offer for the customer- two photography sessions and a gift, with a combined value of £200. Respondents to our marketing are then telephoned to arrange a free sitting at either your home or theirs followed by a viewing session that is guaranteed to produce tears as they see the delightful images. The sales follow naturally without any heavy selling techniques required.
THE SUPPORTBarrett & Coe photographic training is second to none. We can transform people from all walks of life with no photographic experience into award winning photographers after just 4 days of training at our Norwich studios spread over 2 weekends. We offer full management support at the end of the telephone or email and hold quarterly training update sessions to ensure you have access to the most advance methods and techniques. They also provide the opportunity to meet similar franchisees across the country. As part of the Barrett & Coe quality assurance system, award-winning photographers Andrew Coe or Brian Barrett critiques images to provide guidance for continual improvement. No other UK photographic company can match this high standard.
THE COMMITMENTThe number of areas in the UK available is limited and we offer exclusive territories of two sizes depending on your commitments, time and eagerness to earn tremendous money whilst working with mums and babies. Population areas of 100,000 or 200,000 people will be available excluding other areas already served by Barrett & Coe Bumps and Babies franchisees. In an area of 100,000 people, Barrett & Coe will market to 200 mums or potential mums per month. A conservative 5% response rate will provide 10 sittings per month or approximately 2½ hours work per week. THE FIGURESWe at Barrett & Coe certainly know a thing or two about photography having worked in the photographic business for over 40 years and franchising since 1997. The average order value for Bumps and Babies portraits is in excess of £120 per sitting, with a gross profit in the region of 90%.
THE POTENTIALOur only requirement is that all photographers are trained to the highest standard by Barrett & Coe. The cost for the 5 years franchise is £5,000 + VAT Additional working capital is required for equipment, sample pack and the initial leads and marketing purchase. FINANCEBarrett & Coe have negotiated preferential rates with Lloyds TSB and Nat West to finance 70% of the franchise fee, equipment and working capital at 3.5% above base rate, which is easily afforded from takings.
