Deciding whether to return to work or not brings up a complex set of issues. For some families it's a financial necessity, for other mums it's about their needs.

This section is about raising some of these issues in an open and honest forum.

We've split the section into pages covering:

  1. Mum Friendly Work Finding work which is mum-friendly;
  2. the process of reaching a decision of whether to work or not;
  3. finding part time work;
  4. freelance writing - tips for part time career;
  5. the self confidence issues faced by some women wen they return to work;
  6. coping with the money pressures that can arise when one parents stays at home to care for children;
  7. coping with the practical aspects of working and raising a family;
  8. one mum's hints and tips for handling being a working mum;
  9. life coaching - something to consider if you're struggling with self confidence issues or your decision whether to return to work or maybe struggling with the stress of juggling work and family commitments and feel that you would benefit from talking to someone about your personal situation;
  10. 'Leaving for work without a fuss' gives some tips for getting out of the house in the morning without feeling guilty or exchanging a cross word!
  11. 'Every mum is a working mum….period!' is a fantastic piece about the stereotypes of the stay-at-home mum, the work-outside-the-home-mum and the work-at-home mum. Every mum should read this article!

    If you would like us to cover any other particular issue please forward your ideas to feedback@forparentsbyparents.co.uk
