Organic Weaning
|
We have teamed up with Organix to provide us with advice and support on choosing the right food for our babies. I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine about her 6 month old daughter and how she was going to start weaning her. She has two older girls and, is what I consider, an experienced mum, but I was amazed to find her reaction was "she had forgotten what to do and was a little anxious about the process"
This made me think that if a mum with three children was struggling how must first time mums be coping? I know from my own experience that you can very quickly move through baby stages and weaning is one of those stages that can be both exciting and frightening. Suddenly your baby is sitting up in their lovely high chair waiting for you to produce food. You will find you are suddenly in another new world with a need to educate yourself about what to feed your baby, when should you start weaning, will they choke, how much do I give them...etc the list of questions can be endless. As you embark on weaning the decision about whether to feed your child organic food will crop up. Organic food is being encouraged, but perhaps you find yourself asking what's the difference and what are the benefits? If you are asking these questions, you should visit Organix on our website and register in their childrens' food club. The food club is full of advice about how to begin weaning and how to provide an excellent and well balanced diet for your little one. If my children were younger and I was just about to embark on weaning then I would have found Organix an invaluable source of information and support. One of the things I have noticed with my own children is that I did not start them on organic food, now 4 and 6 years old they had become used to the alternatives but they are now eating organic food. If I had my time again I would start them with Organix at 6 months, and follow this through with organic vegetables and other food products as they grow. I have introduced the wide range of Organix finger and snack foods into my children's lunch boxes, which are more nutritional and healthier for them. Lunch boxes are a source of great irritation to many parents and I find the Organix products work extremely well. I may sound a little smug but it is great when the teaching staff comment and support my efforts to try and bring organic food into my children's diet. I would encourage you to look at the advice and range of Organix products for your baby, toddler or older child and please let us know how you get on with them, as always we value what you, as parents, find works so come and visit Organix on the site for more information, and drop us a line. We have also created a new survey about organic food, please log in to the site and share your views with us. Members Area |
