FIVE winners will get the chance to win Ant Bully on DVD

Get ready to be transformed by The Ant Bully from 5th March!

To celebrate the launch of The Ant Bully on DVD, we’ve teamed up with Warner Home Video to offer five lucky readers the chance to win a copy of the DVD. With its star-studded cast including Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Nicholas Cage, the whole family will enjoy this magical, action-adventure.

From Academy Award® nominated filmmaker John A. Davis (Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius) and producers Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman (The Polar Express).

Ant Bully

The Ant Bully tells the heart-warming story of a 10-year old boy called Lucas Nickle, who embarks on a remarkable journey of self-discovery. It’s on this journey that he learns important lessons about friendship, gets a whole new perspective on life and ultimately finds the courage to stand up for himself.

Interesting Facts and Stats on Ants

  • Ants have been living on the Earth for more than 100 million years and can be found almost anywhere on the planet
  • If you combined the weight of all ants living today it would be greater than the combined weight of all humans living today
  • Ants can lift 20 times their own body weight
The average 10 year old boy weighs 70 pounds and would have to lift 1400 pounds to equal that of a single ant
  • There are 35,000 kinds of ants in the world
  • Ant brains are the largest amongst all insects
  • An ant brain has about 250,000 brain cells
A human brain such as Lucas Nickle’s has 10,000 million brain cells, so a colony of 40,000 ants has collectively the same size brain as a human
  • The average life expectancy of an ant is 45-60 days
That is, of course, unless they cross paths with an exterminator such as Stan Beals from The Ant Bully
  • Some ants sleep seven hours a day
The average human sleeps approx. 8 hours every day
  • An ant colony can have a population from hundreds of thousands to millions
The largest human population is in China with a total of 1,306,313,812 people
