BAFTA award-winning TV phenomenon, Tweenies is set to light up the stage in a countrywide theatre tour entitled The Enchanted Toyshop. Produced by BBC Worldwide and debuting in March, the tour will visit 43 theatres throughout Britain bringing the fun and laughter of the show closer to more viewers than ever before. BBC Worldwide is producing this major theatre tour which marks a new departure for Jake, Bella, Milo and Fizz who are better known for selling out major stadiums and arenas. The foursome is looking forward to appearing at local venues and interacting with their fans in a more intimate setting. The Enchanted Toyshop is an exciting new production with lots of music, dancing and sing-a-long songs. The pre-school ‘Fab Four’ together with Max, Doodles and other favourite characters will carry the audience away to magical worlds where things are not always as they first appear. An old dolls-house becomes a magical store full of wonderful toys. When each of the Tweenies makes a wish the toy of their dreams comes alive and they realise they may have gotten more than they bargained for. The production is written by the original creators of the multi-award winning TV show: Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton. Combining their unique understanding of the Tweenies with their wealth of experience in writing quality shows for children, Lauchlan and Brenton have created a thrilling fantasy, sure to charm children. The Tweenies have a proven record in delivering the most fantastic live experience. Across five previous national arena tours, they have sold over 1.2 million tickets, gaining considerable critical acclaim along the way. About IaIn Lauchlan and Will BrentonIaIn has been involved in the entertainment business for nearly 30 years during which time he has had extensive experience as an actor, director, writer and producer.
