This is a magical family event not to be missed! Join Rupert Bear in an attempt to set a new record for the World’s Biggest Teddy Bears’ Picnic on the sunniest day of the year (we hope!) SUNDAY 29TH JULY 2007, at Eastnor Castle www.eastnorcastle.com, set within the rolling hills of Herefordshire, near Ledbury. The current record stands at 33,573 bears together with their owners at Dublin Zoo, Republic of Ireland on 24 Jun 1995. Rules are simple – each person can bring up to 20 bears – but no more! Sorry but rules are rules! We will gather as many families and teddy bears – old and new, big and small – together for a huge summer picnic. Rupert Bear will be the star of the show at this event with readings from his new books. In addition there will be locally made produce including drinks and ice creams, plus entertainments and celebrities. 
The World’s Biggest Teddy Bears’ Picnic is being organised to celebrate the launch of a brand new series of Rupert Bear books published by Egmont UK Ltd. These new titles celebrate the magic and enduring popularity of Rupert Bear (see next page for titles). 
Joining in the fun is easy – just come along on the day. Entry to Eastnor Castle (grounds only) is £3.50 for adults,
£1.50 for children and kids under 5 years get in free! Open to UK Residents only Only persons over the age of 18 years old are eligible to enter this competition. Only one entry per person is permitted. There is no cash alternative. The judge's decision is final. We reserve the right to display the names of prize winners on the site. No other personal identifiers will be used. Anyone who does not want their name to be displayed should email the site once they have registered or submitted an entry request. Prizes will be held for 2 weeks from the notification date above. The prize will be forwarded to your postal address, provided at registration by you, and recorded on the site. The prize may come directly from the supplier of the prize, please allow at least 4 weeks for delivery. If you are personally notified of a prize win and it is not claimed within 2 weeks of the selection date it will be forfeit and a draw will be made to select another winner.
