With the children at home more during the holidays, you may see an increase in accidents. For the little bumps and scrapes, stock up on plasters and antiseptic cream and be ready with the kisses and cuddles.

For a more serious injury, one thing to remember when treating your child is your expression. Easier said than done sometimes, but you need to stay calm. Try and assess the injury without alarming the child, as they are often distressed already. Children react very differently to injuries, either wanting to see everything that is going on, or not letting you anywhere near them.
