Christmas AA - Patrol Man Pete

Patrolman Pete motors up the Christmas Chart

We have FIVE sets of 4 books and the single to give away - released 12th December 2005

The race for this year’s Christmas Number One has taken yet another twist with AA Publishing’s new heroic children’s character, Patrolman Pete, slashing his odds to become one of the serious contenders to grab the coveted top spot in this year’s chart.

The cheery Patrolman, who stars in a new range of children’s books launched by the AA earlier in the year, has seen his odds fall by a third from 34/1 to 21/1 in the space of two weeks as support grows for his song - ‘Ready to Roll’.

Originally penned as a theme tune to accompany the new series of Patrolman Pete books for children, the song proved to be so popular with AA employees, that the company has decided to release the CD to celebrate both the launch of its first venture into children’s books and its Centenary.

AA - Patrol Man Pete

Patrolman Pete’s catchy tune is now fighting off competition from other heart throbs in William Hill's list including Robbie Williams, James Blunt and Irish boy-band Westlife.

‘Ready to Roll’ is released on December 12th. To listen to the song or to get details of the books log onto Patrolman Pete’s website: www.theaa.com/patrolman_pete

Flik Flak Watches

Flik Flak, the children’s watch from the makers of high quality Swiss brand Swatch, is giving away two of their cool watches. Flik Flak watches have become a familiar part of many children’s learning and playing environment. Based on a concept developed by educators and psychologists, these intentionally designed watches make it easier for children to tell the time.

Flik Flak watches provide an enjoyable way of improving your child’s level of time telling, an essential skill which is highlighted in the National Curriculum. Flik Flak also have exciting games which help to make telling the time even more fun which can be found at

We have two of these fun Flik Flak watches to give away which are not only fun, but functional too as they are fully machine washable - the pretty ‘Fior di Farfella’ girls watch and the tough ‘Train Trip’ boys design, for ages 5-6 years.

Fior di Farfella

Fior de Farfella

This dainty watch with its sparkling Swarovski crystals and feather-light flower-and-butterfly motif will make any girl feel special. And if a little too much pollen rubs off on its wings, this exceptional gem will even glide through a washing machine at 40°C and emerge looking as gorgeous as ever. Enough to make the little lady in your life feel as if she’s floating on air.

Train Trip

Train Trip

Rushing toward the tunnel along the strap rails spanned by the Flik Flak bridge-loop, travellers in this high-speed train can time how long they have had to hold their breath before emerging on the other side… The easy-read dial with its mix of numerals and hour-markers reminds one of the famous Swiss railway clocks, and is every bit as efficient in helping passengers keep “track” of time. Their website address is www.flikflak.com
