What we do at Easter

Easter

As we are on the theme of giving you lot's of activities and ideas about Easter, I thought it might be nice to share some of the things the staff at ForParentsByParents will be doing

Jeremy says

No kids involved - but if you are interested in what us strange people do at Easter...

Normally

  • Hot cross buns are a must for Good Friday - several for breakfast and then more as and when required over the following months. I like hot with butter, wife likes cold with butter.
  • Extravagent Easter Eggs are normally exchanged for Sunday - excellent!
  • We try an opening attack on the garden - and queue for half a day at the dump with the undergrowth we "found".
  • Watch out for a James Bond film or similar on TV
  • Impressively long dog walk

This Easter

  • We may get one hot cross bun instead of my usual porridge
  • We may get a Cadbury's cream egg if we are lucky.
  • 3 - 5 should still be possible, unfortunately.

I am still dieting after Christmas - which is a tradgedy of timing!

Jane says

I am really looking forward to spending my first Easter with my new grandson, Matthew. He is only four months old so he is not old enough to eat chocolate yet, or do a treasure hunt, but we will spoil him with family love and attention.

Debbie says

I often spend Easter with my parents and twin sister Elaine. We get together for the whole weekend, go for lovely family walks with Dexter the Dog, as my children call him and come home to a nice fire, bottle of wine and lovely roast dinner. My sister keeps us entertained with her very funny sense of humour and we enjoy each others company. The children will do a treasure hunt in the garden, and will probably receive a nice gift, but not chocolate. We try to steer away from eggs, but find a small gift longer lasting and more valued.

Overall a very nice relaxed weekend with the people that are special in my life.
