Children's publishers

Pat and I both feel that selecting children's books can be a hit and miss affair. There are some fabulous books available but also some that are not so good.

On this page we've featured our choice of the best children's publishers plus some examples of their books.

Walker Books publish the most gorgeous picture books - They are always the ones my son picks off the bookshelf first.

Our favourites new Walkers Books are:

Giddy-Up Lets Ride!

Bertie the Watchdog
(18mths +) ( 3-5 yrs)
Both are beautifully illustrated hardbacks with involving content relevant for both age groups.

Barefoot Books offer a fantastic range of children's books, from bold and bright picture books for toddlers to exquisitely produced and magically written story anthologies for older readers.
"I especially like their story anthologies as they combine wonderful retelling of stories from across the world with beautiful illustrations. I'd like to own them all - not just for my son but for me!"

BBC Worldwide Children's Books offer a fantastic range of titles all based on favourite Cbeebies characters. They have a new range of Teletubbie and Bob titles published Summer 2002.

For full details of their current children's range visit their online bookshop at www.bbcshop.com/bbc_shop.
